We look at the quality of care residents receive every day, including staffing levels, how staff interact with residents, and whether care is personalized. We also evaluate whether the community provides the right level of support, whether that's Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, or other specialized services.

We review the quality of meals, cleanliness and maintenance, amenities, and the variety of activities and events available to residents.

We verify that communities have strong hiring and background screening practices, appropriate safety and security measures, clear communication with families, and policies that help protect the safety, dignity and well-being of every resident.
